heres a few pics of the shifting linkage in my car.  I've been screwing
with it for a while, and am hoping theres something else to use insted.

<img src="linkage2.jpg">  this is behind the driver's seat.. a little access
port to get at the front part of the linkage.. to the left is whats actually
connected to the shifter.

<img src="linkage3.jpg">  Hard to see.. if you follow the rod to the left,
there is a ball joint there, bolted to that shiny adapter plate between the
tranny and engine.  About 4 more inches to the left is a universal joint.

<img src="linkage4.jpg">  This is the back of the tranny, where the rod comes
in, connects to some funky linkage, and makes the rod in the trans. do stuff.
Sounds good in theory anyway.
